What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over.
Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss.
Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?

The Nicest Man in Rock...

Happy Birthday Dave Grohl
14th January 1969
Times Like These
Foo Fighters
Reached No 12 in the UK SIngles Chart in 2003

It's times like these you learn to live again
It's times like these you give and give again
It's times like these you learn to love again
It's times like these, time and time again

Chris chose the birthday track for Mr Grohl.  I'd have gone for Heart Shaped Box (which reminds me, I must track that album down - or at least that track).  Anyway he likes the song because it is great but also because the lyrics seem pertinent to him right now.

I'd stick around but I am still recovering from Rosies birthday party, am in the midst of a sea of presents she has already opened and trying to write thank you notes.  I am sure the nicest man in rock writes his own thank you notes too, so he'd understand.....
